How to Get the Date Makeup Look for a Chilled Night In?
Step 1: Up your highlighter game
After applying foundation, go for a highlighter, this will allow you to achieve a truly glowing complexion. Using a powder-based highlighter, simply highlight above your cheekbones and around your forehead. To intensify the highlighting effect, follow with a liquid highlighter. Apply above your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, under the brow arch, on your cupid’s bow and chin. Quick tip: If you want the look to be extra dewy and natural, use a beauty sponge. For an intense look either fingers or a brush will do just as well!
Step 2: Go for gold with the eyeshadow
Prime your eyelids gently and apply gold eyeshadow. You can opt for a different metallic shade, though keeping it as natural as possible is key to this look. Curl your lashes gently and finish with mascara. Keep your eye brows natural by simply brushing through.
Step 3: Underline the natural beauty of your lips
Go ahead and apply lip balm. Follow up with a transparent lip gloss to create shine, luster and natural volume on your lips.
Step 4: Go for cosy milkmaid plaits
This is a super fun and easy look to achieve! If you want an in-depth tutorial on how to create milkmaid braids, you can find it here.

After you’ve applied foundation and blusher, it’s time to focus on the eyes, starting with the brows. Keep them natural, so a quick brush through with brow gel will do the trick. Let’s have some fun with colour. Go for a coloured liquid liner and line your bottom lashline – as close to the lashes as possible. Don’t be scared of layering up the intensity of the colour. Afterwards, line the waterline with black kohl pencil and follow with layers of mascara on your top lashes.
Step 2: Go for a strong nude lipstick shade
As our eyes are quite fun and colourful, let’s make our lips neutral with a beautiful nude shade. Line your lips with a pencil, starting with a cross shape at the cupid’s bow. This is every makeup artist’s favourite trick as it makes applying lip liner much easier. Fill in your lips with the liner and top up with a beautiful shade of nude lipstick.
Step 3: Let’s get those grungy waves
Brush through your hair, making sure there are no knots or tangles. Section the top front of your hair and backcomb, go for two more sections from the top of your head to backcomb. Pin these in place at the back. Add hair spray, and mess it up a tiny bit more to create more volume.
Step 4: Finishing with grungy waves
Using a wand, curl only the lengths of your hair, avoiding the roots and ends. Once you’ve finished, spray salt spray all over, and scrunch up the hair for an authentic grungy finish.

Step 1: Contour your face using bronzer
We’ll start with our foundation already on. To add that sun-kissed glow to your look, add a touch of contouring. Simply apply bronzer to the contours of your face – cheekbones, forehead and even neck.
Step 2: Make your eyes pop
Fill in your brows either with a pencil or a shade from a brow palette. Using a liquid eyeliner, draw a retro cateye on both eyes. To exaggerate the size of your eyes, line your waterline with a white pencil – this will intensify the look. After that, apply mascara only to the top lashes.
Step 3: Go for very berry lips
Line your lips with a berry hued lip liner, making sure you fill in your lips slightly as well. To add a lustrous shine to your lips, apply some lip balm, skipping the lipstick altogether. This will make your lip shade last for hours, no matter how much popcorn you decide to eat.
Step 4: Create a relaxed pony look
Section off a bit of hair above the crown and backcomb it. Repeat this on a few sections to get the desired volume. Pull all of your hair back into a lose ponytail, securing with band. To add a nonchalant vibe, pull a few hair strands out at the front. Conceal the hair band by wrapping a hair strand around and securing with a pin. To make the style last long, finish with strong hold hairspray.

Step 1: Contour your face
After you’ve applied your foundation, start contouring your face. With the darker shade, contour the cheeks, top of the forehead, temples and your neckline. The key for this is to blend, blend, blend. To soften, apply the lighter bronzer just above the darker contour. Once again, blend the colours together for a natural finish.
Step 2: Create metallic, smokey eyes
Prime your eyelids, and apply a light base shade. Go over this with a light gold hue, build the colour up with a slightly darker shade that you will apply and blend around the socket. Choose your third colour, an even darker one and apply in the outer corners and the lower lid, making sure all colours have blended well. Afterwards, go for a cat eye with your liquid eyeliner and apply mascara to both the upper and lower lashes. Finish your eye makeup by brushing your brows up and filling in any gaps.
Step 3: Go for a nude lip
As our eye makeup is bold, we can keep our lips beautiful and nude. Apply a neutral shade all over and top it off with a transparent lip gloss. This will make your lips bigger and shinier.
Step 4: Finish the look with beautiful curls
Apply heat protecting spray and section your hair into two: top and bottom. Take a strand of hair and begin curling, wrapping the hair around the wand right until the end, holding up to 10 seconds at a time. Once you’ve curled all of your hair, brush the curls out and apply serum to make your tresses look healthy and shiny. Lock in the locks with hair spray.

How to Get the Date Makeup Look for a Coffee Lunch?
Step 1: Go for a metallic eye
Let’s start with our foundation and blusher already on. As this look is for a day time date, we won’t go for too much makeup on our eyes. Instead, we will apply a primer and follow this by adding a shiny metallic silver shade. Don’t go over your crease for this look. After this, apply a slightly darker silver close to the lash line. Finish off by lining the outside of your eye with a grey kohl pencil and topping the makeup off with mascara. If you want the look to have a retro twist, you can also go for a cat eye with the liner.
Step 2: Create a beautiful, bold lip
As our eye makeup is soft, this means that we can go bold with our lip colour. Think pink, coral or vibrant plum – any of these would look stunning for this day look. Line your lips starting with an X on the cupid’s bow and fill it in. Follow by a few coats of lipstick. Top tip: For a fuller looking lip, apply three or even four lipstick layers.
Step 3: Twist, twist, twist
Once you’ve got a middle parting, take a strand of hair from one side and start twisting. After a few twists, add more hair to the twist and continue twisting. Add another strand and finish the twist just before your ear. Pin in place and repeat on the other side.
Step 4: Finish with hair spray
To make sure the hair looks perfect throughout the day, add hairspray. Focus on the twists as these can sometimes come undone especially if it’s a windy day out there.

How to Get the Date Makeup Look for a Picnic?
Step 1: Opt for peachy tones for your eyes
Start with your foundation, powder and blusher already done- alternatively, you can do your blusher after your eye makeup. Using your brow gel, brush your eye brows upwards giving them subtle texture. Apply primer and follow up with your first colour all over your lid – a light peachy tone. Go for a darker peach in the crease and blend, blend, blend. Finish by simply curling your lashes as we won’t be using mascara for this day look.
Step 2: Finish the makeup with rosy lips
As this is a subtle day look, apply a nude lipstick colour all over the lips. Afterwards, add a hint of your blusher shade on top of the nude. This will create that beautiful nude yet peachy shade.
Step 3: Create a picnic perfect top bun
Section the top part of your hair and position it as if you were creating a half ponytail. Wrap the hair around without twisting it and secure with a band. Mess it up a tiny bit – it doesn’t have to be perfect.
Step 4: Finish off with hair spray
To make sure your look stays in place all day (especially if it is a windy day in the park!), apply tons of hairspray to the bun and your locks.
