Don’t shy away from Matty Bovan’s bold-as-brass lip. Here’s how to pull off the pout for less
It’s statement, it’s chic, and we’re so ready to give it a go. Making an appearance at the Matty Bovan AW19 show, the two-toned look has inspired us to put our favourite nude lippies to one side and explore autumnal tones. Get ready to mix, blend and dab your way to the perfect daring pout.
On-Point Prep For this to work, you need your lips to do all the talking, so we’re keeping skin minimal and fresh. Apply a touch of concealer to give coverage wherever you need it, then spritz with a dewy facial spray. Gently brush over your brows with a coloured gel for a full but natural shape.
Lip Service There are no rules for mixing autumnal shades, so let your creative side run wild and find a tone that ticks all your boxes. Line and prime your lips, then mix together different shades of burgundy and crimson on the outer portion of your lips, fading it towards the middle. Add a pop of sunset orange in the centre of your bottom lip, followed by gloss, using a lip brush, which helps to create the ombré effect.
