- Release the gas. Flatulence and belching may not be the politest of behaviours but the most obvious way to get rid of trapped wind is to let it out.
- Passing stool will similarly let off some of the pressure.
- Eat slower
- Avoid chewing gum and carbonated drinks
- Drink herbal tea
- Take wind settler tablets
