Health & Beautycard Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions govern your membership of the Health & Beautycard Programme and the use of your Health & Beautycard. They also set out the terms of the contract between Superdrug Stores plc ("us"/ "we") and you ("you"/ "your"). Please read them carefully and keep hold of a copy for future reference. Nothing in these terms and conditions will affect your statutory rights. If you would like to receive these terms and conditions in an alternative format such as large print, or if you have any questions about these terms and conditions or your use of the Health & Beautycard, then please contact us.

1. Membership of Health & Beautycard
1.1 The Health & Beautycard Programme is only available to residents of the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland. With effect from 16.09.2024, in the United Kingdom you must be at least 13 years old to apply to join the Health & Beautycard Programme. With effect from 16.09.2024, in the Republic of Ireland you must be at least 16 years old to apply to join the Health & Beautycard Programme. Only one membership per person/email address is permitted. Membership is not open to companies, partnerships, unincorporated associations or similar entities. Existing members who are 12 can earn and spend points with a Health & Beautycard. Superdrug will not communicate with a customer until an appropriate age of consent has been reached. . Please note that you will not be eligible for the VIP Reward Scheme (described in more detail below) until you reach the age of 16. You can use your Health & Beautycard when shopping in store in Superdrug, on Superdrug.com or via the Superdrug app.
1.2 Membership of the Health & Beautycard Programme is personal to you. You may not share or transfer your points or your Health & Beautycard, although your friends and family can of course apply for their own Health & Beautycard.
1.3 We may refuse an application to join the Health & Beautycard Programme if we feel there is a good reason to do so.
1.4 You can pick up your Health & Beautycard in store. As soon as you have your Health & Beautycard, you can start using it to earn points. However, you will not be able to spend any points until you have registered your Health & Beautycard and received a notification from us that your account has been activated.
1.5 You can register your Health & Beautycard online at Superdrug.com, in store or on the Superdrug app.
1.6 We will notify you that your account is activated by email.
1.7 Once your Health & Beautycard is activated, we will set up an individual account to record the points you’ve earned or spent. You will also then be able to spend points in accordance with these terms and conditions.
1.8 You must notify us as soon as possible if you change your name, address or email address. These changes can be made either online at superdrug.com or by contacting our customer team. Please note that if you do not let us know of these changes, you may miss out on promotional offers and your use of your Health & Beautycard may be affected if, for example, someone else registers for the Health & Beautycard Programme at your old address.
1.9 Your Health & Beautycard points will be valid for 24 months after they are added to your Health & Beautycard account. If they are not redeemed in this time they will expire and will be deducted from your account.
1.10 Your account will remain active if you use your Health & Beautycard at least once in any rolling 36 month period. After 36 months inactivity, your account will be closed.
2. Marketing Communication - Consent
2.1 1 By accepting these terms, you confirm that you are happy to receive news and offers tailored just for you as explained in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
2.2 You will receive such amazing news from us and trusted partners (such as companies in the A.S. Watson Group or C.K. Hutchison Holdings Group) by email, sms, direct mail and other communication methods – as chosen by you.
2.3 You also consent to our use of beauty or health product related information for marketing purposes as explained in the Privacy Policy, if you purchase (online or in-store) beauty or health products (including products that require prescriptions) using your Health & Beautycard for such purchases.
2.4 At any time, you can opt out of all such marketing and withdraw your consent in 'My Account' or directly in the communications you receive. Opting-out will not affect the other services you receive as part of the Health & Beautycard Programme.
3. Earning points
3.1 You can earn points at Superdrug stores in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland either in store, online or via the app.
3.2 2 To earn points for a purchase in store, your Health & Beautycard must be presented at the checkout before you pay. If you forget your Health & Beautycard, let the cashier know when you go to pay in store and they can look up your Health & Beautycard and add it into the transaction (providing your Health & Beautycard is registered). If you realise after you’ve left the store, you can still get your points added as long as you have your receipt. Just contact our customer team and give them the details below from your receipt and they will add the points for you once they’ve verified your purchase including:
- Receipt number
- Store number
- Till number
- Total paid
- Date
With online shopping, please make sure that you have signed into your account that has your registered Health & Beautycard attached to it and your points will automatically be added once your order is dispatched.
3.3 To earn points online or via the app, you simply need to have registered your Health & Beautycard online and to maintain your registration at superdrug.com.
3.4 Points are not available on stamps, mobile top-up, NHS Services, prescription medicines, delivery costs, infant milk formula, or gift cards. We might exclude other products from the Health & Beautycard Programme at our discretion, but if we do then we will display notices online at superdrug.com.
3.5 You will earn one point for every £1/€1 that is spent on qualifying purchases online at superdrug.com and in store in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. Points are awarded after any relevant discounts or promotions have been deducted from your shopping. Points are awarded only on the final amount you actually pay either online, in store or via the virtual card on the Superdrug app.
3.6 From time to time, we may run special promotions and award additional points. For example, we may increase the number of points that you receive for every £1/€1 you spend, or award bonus points when you purchase a particular product. We may set a limit on how many promotional points can be awarded to any one account. Health & Beautycard member promotions cannot be cumulated with other non-member promotions, unless indicated otherwise or applied in your favour directly at checkout.
3.7 If you have earned points on a product which you decide to return then you will need to present your Health & Beautycard in store so that the relevant points can be deducted from your account.
3.8 If you have earned points on a product you have purchased online then points will be deducted from your account when the products have been received by Superdrug and your payment has been refunded.
3.9 Please retain your receipts. We may request them from you if, for example, you have any queries regarding your points balance, or where we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity or a breach of these terms and conditions.
4. Spending your points
4.1 You will not be able to spend any points unless your Health & Beautycard is registered and your account is activated. You may only spend points at Superdrug stores in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and online at Superdrug.com.
4.2 Points can only be spent in increments of 100. This means that if you have 200 points in your account and you want to spend them on a qualifying purchase of £1.49/€1.49 then you will be able to spend 100 points but will need to pay the £0.49/€0.49 balance of the purchase price in cash (leaving 100 points in your account).
4.3 To spend points in store, simply present your Health & Beautycard and tell the cashier how many points you would like to pay with against your shopping.
4.4 To spend points online, you must sign in to your registered Health & Beautycard account before selecting products to purchase. When you enter your payment details, select how many points you wish to spend from the options available.
4.5 Please note, points cannot be spent on stamps, mobile top-up, NHS Services, prescription medicines, delivery costs, Superdrug Online Doctor, infant milk formula, or the purchase of gift cards. Other products may also be excluded from the Health & Beautycard Programme at our discretion. Where we exclude other products from the Health & Beautycard Programme, we will display notices on our website at superdrug.com.
4.6 If you present your Health & Beautycard when you purchase a product that earns you points, then your points balance will be printed on your receipt. It will also be available for you to check online if you have registered your Health & Beautycard at superdrug.com/beautycard.
4.7 Please note that your points balance may not be updated immediately when you make a qualifying purchase. With online purchases points are awarded when your order is dispatched so you may need to wait at least 5 working days before the points show in your account and you are able to spend them. With in store purchases, you may need to wait at least 24 hours before the points show in your account and you are able to spend them. We may withhold points or delay crediting them where we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity or a breach of these terms and conditions.
4.8 We may deduct points or adjust your points balance from time to time in the event that points have been credited or debited in error, or where we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity or a breach of these terms and conditions. In the event a system error causes an incorrect points balance to be given to you, Superdrug will endeavour to rectify this as soon as is reasonably possible. Where a system error causes an incorrect points balance Superdrug is under no obligation to honour the incorrect points balance. If you have any queries about your points balance then please contact our customer team.
4.9 The current redemption value of points is 1 point = 1 penny/cent. We reserve the right to vary that rate at any time. If we decide to vary this rate then we will seek to let you know in reasonable time by post and/or by email at the address you have given to us. Points may only be spent against qualifying purchases. They may not be exchanged for cash.
4.10 Points have a 24 month validity, so long as your account is not inactive in any 12 month rolling period. After 24 months, points will expire and you will no longer be able to access or use them.
4.11 Points expire immediately if the account is closed or deactivated or if the Health & Beautycard Programme ends. If you spend your points to purchase a gift card, the voucher will have an expiry date specified on it and will be subject to any other terms and conditions stated on that voucher or otherwise publicised.
5. Privacy Policy
5.1 We take privacy seriously. The categories of personal data that we process depend on how you use our services. We use your personal data to align our online and in store services with your preferences, to provide you with purchases and services, to deal with your requests, to contact you regarding tailored products and services which may be of interest to you, to provide prize draws or competitions, or to carry out relevant administrative services. 6. General
6.1 The Health & Beautycard is our property and must be returned to us on request, or destroyed when requested by us.
6.2 You are responsible for the security of the Health & Beautycard issued on your account and all points issued. Please treat your Health & Beautycard as securely as you would cash or a credit card, as we are not able to credit points which have been spent, whether or not by an unauthorised person. If your Health & Beautycard is lost, or if you think an unauthorised person has become aware of any security code, password or account number, you should contact the Health & Beautycard helpline by visiting the Contact Us. You can collect a new Health & Beautycard in-store and we will transfer your points across to that new Health & Beautycard if they have not previously been spent.
6.3 We may immediately suspend or terminate the rights of any member and/or close an account if:
- these terms and conditions are breached by you; or
- if we reasonably believe that you have acted in a manner not permitted by these terms and conditions; or
- if you engage in (or we reasonably suspect you of engaging in) any theft from or misconduct in connection with us or any supplier; or
- if you supply false or misleading information to us or we discover that you are not eligible to be a member of the Health & Beautycard Programme; or
- if you are abusive or offensive to any member of our staff.
6.4 You can also close your account at any time by notifying us in writing to our customer team. If an account is closed for any reason, all rights to spend the points from that account are lost.
6.5 We may make changes to these terms and conditions. We may suspend or close the Health & Beautycard Programme at any time but we will endeavour to give you as much notice as we reasonably can before we do so.
6.6 If Superdrug Stores plc is sold or transferred to another company we may transfer all of our rights and obligations under these terms and conditions without any further consent and may disclose or transfer all information we hold about you to a prospective or actual new owner. Such disclosure or transfer will not alter the rights of such members in respect of the use that can be made of such information by such other company.
6.7 Our responsibilities with respect of the Health & Beautycard Programme are as set out in these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of England and Wales (unless you live in Scotland, in which case they are subject to Scottish law, Northern Ireland, in which case they are subject to Northern Irish law), or the Republic of Ireland, in which case they are subject to the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
7. Health & Beautycard VIP Rewards Scheme
7.1 The Health & Beautycard VIP Rewards Scheme is Superdrug’s customer reward scheme (the “VIP Rewards Scheme"). To unlock rewards as part of the VIP Rewards Scheme you need to be a registered on Superdrug.com as a Health & Beautycard member (please see section 1 above) and have downloaded the Superdrug App (the “App”) and have linked the Health & Beautycard to your online account and App. You need to be 13 years old and above to participate in the VIP Rewards Scheme. The VIP Reward Scheme is open to residents of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland only. Residents in the ROI will only be able to register via a Superdrug.com account. By participating in the VIP Reward Scheme, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and if you have any questions about the VIP Reward Scheme, please contact the customer team.
7.2 When you make a purchase in any Superdrug store, on superdrug.com or via the App and present your Health & Beautycard, your spend will be automatically logged, calculated and updated in your Health & Beautycard account.
7.3 From the date of your first purchase, you can unlock the rewards listed below (each a “Reward”) when you reach each level of spend. Your Rewards will appear in your App. Each Reward is subject to sections 1 – 8 of these terms and conditions and is subject to change and availability. The expiry of each Reward is specified below and is subject to change. Rewards are non-transferable, non-refundable and subject to availability; there is no cash alternative.
7.4 Access to each Reward Tier (as defined below) is subject to you reaching each of the following spend levels. To redeem a Reward simply present your Health & Beautycard linked to your App/Superdrug.com account.
- Reward Tier 1: £25 spend – you will receive a 10% discount off Superdrug own brand products purchased in store, online or via the App in one single transaction. The 10% discount will be automatically added to your Health & Beautycard account and will automatically be applied to your purchase. This one-off 10% discount will expire after four (4) weeks from the date the Reward is unlocked and appears on the App / your Health & Beautycard account. Superdrug colleagues are not eligible to redeem this Reward.
- Reward Tier 2: £75 spend – Once you reach this tier, you will receive one Superdrug own brand product from a selection determined by Superdrug as highlighted on the App. Typically, the following Superdrug B may be included but are subject to change and subject to availability of stock at the specific store at the time of your visit: Hydrating Face Mist, Creamy Foaming, Moisturising Gel Cream, Brightening Eye Cream, Men Original Beard Oil (30ml), Men Oil Control Charcoal Face Scrub (150ml), Men Sensitive Shave Cream (150ml). We will not be able to deliver this product to you, you will need to collect this product from a Superdrug store in the UK or Republic of Ireland. Please take your chosen product to the till point where the product will be scanned, together with your Health & Beautycard; you will not be charged for your chosen product. This Reward will expire after three (3) months from the date the Reward is unlocked and appears on the App / your Health & Beautycard account.
- Reward Tier 3: £150 spend - Once you reach this tier, you will receive free next day delivery on one single order of products purchased online or in the App which will be automatically added to your Health & Beautycard account. Terms and conditions apply, please see here. This Reward will expire after three (3) months from the date the Reward is unlocked and appears on the App / your Health & Beautycard account.
- Reward Tier 4: You will unlock Reward Tier 4 by either (i) reaching £300 spend or (ii) being an existing Superdrug Mobile customer or a new customer to any Superdrug Mobile plan. - Once you reach this tier either through option i. or option ii., you will become a VIP! You will be eligible for the following rewards as and when they are made available to you, during a consecutive twelve (12) month period.
If you reach Reward Tier 4 through reaching the spend threshold then after the 12-month period, your cumulative 12 month spend will be calculated. If your total spend is £300 or greater, you will remain at Reward Tier 4. You will also unlock Reward Tiers 1-3 in accordance with the terms and conditions above. If your total spend is less than £300, you will go back to the Reward Tier above corresponding to your total spend. For example, if your total spend is £25 at the end of the 12-month period, you will unlock Reward Tier 1.
If you reach Reward Tier 4 automatically by being a Superdrug Mobile customer then your eligibility for Reward Tier 4 begins on the date of activation of your SIM. You will remain at Reward Tier 4 for the greater of: (i) 12 months from the activation of your SIM; and (ii) the length of time you remain on a Superdrug Mobile plan following the activation of your SIM.
7.5 Each Reward is subject to change and availability, and subject to the following terms and conditions which may be amended by us at any time. Rewards are non-transferable, non-refundable and subject to availability. There is no cash alternative. The duration and expiry date of each Reward will vary and is subject to change. Where we have partnered with another company to bring you a Reward (a “Reward Partner”), additional terms and conditions from the Reward Partner may apply. Superdrug colleagues are not eligible to redeem Tier 4 Rewards.
7.6 Access to each Reward is subject to various timescales and durations. To redeem a VIP Reward simply present your Health & Beautycard linked to your App/Superdrug.com account.
- Once you reach Reward Tier 4, you will receive a 10% discount off the following, for a consecutive twelve (12) months period from the date the Reward is unlocked and appears on the App / your Health & Beautycard account: (1) Superdrug own brand products purchased in store, online or via the App and (2) Superdrug Beauty Services in store. The 10% discount will be automatically added to your Health & Beautycard account and will automatically be applied to your above purchases. Superdrug colleagues are not eligible to redeem this Reward.
- Once you reach Reward Tier 4, in addition to 7.6(a), you will also receive periodic Rewards which may vary and are subject to change. Each Reward will change regularly and is subject to availability. Superdrug colleagues are not eligible to redeem these Rewards.
- Once you reach Reward Tier 4, from time to time you may also receive a surprise reward. Each surprise Reward may vary and is subject to change. You will be notified once a surprise Reward becomes available - keep checking your emails as new ones appear.
7.7 You can check your current spend balance and Reward Tier eligibility at any point by checking the App and online. Please note your spend balance can take up to 48 hours to update after purchase. For online orders or orders placed via the App, your spend balance will be updated once your order has been dispatched.
7.8 You are responsible for the security of the Rewards issued on your Health & Beautycard account. Please treat your Health & Beautycard as securely as you would cash or a credit card, as we are not able to credit your balance which has been spent, whether or not by an unauthorised person. If your Health & Beautycard is lost, or if you think an unauthorised person has become aware of any security code, password or account number, you should contact the customer team.
7.9 Superdrug reserves the right to alter or withdraw the VIP Reward Scheme and/or any or all of the Rewards at any time and at its sole discretion.
7.10 Superdrug takes privacy seriously. All personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws. For a full version of our Privacy Policy, please see our Privacy Policy.
7.11 If any of these Terms & Conditions are declared invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed to be deleted from these Terms & Conditions and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
7.12 Failure by us to enforce a right does not result in waiver of such right. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms & Conditions.
7.13 You and we agree that English law applies to these Terms & Conditions and that any dispute between us arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions will only be dealt with by the English courts, unless you are resident in another part of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, in which case the applicable law of that part of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland will apply and any dispute will be brought before the courts there.
8. Health & Beautycard Member Pricing
8.1 You'll need a Health & Beautycard to get lower member prices on selected products both in store and online. The products eligible for member pricing change regularly and are subject to availability. Prices may vary and delivery charges may apply. To get member prices, present your Health & Beautycard at the time of purchase. If you're shopping online or via the App and you have registered and signed in to your account, you'll get member prices automatically.
