What does iron do?

How much iron do I need?

What are the side effects of taking iron?
If you exceed your daily intake of iron. You may experience some side effects. These may include constipation, nausea, loss of appetite, diarrhoea or dark stools. A lack of iron can cause anaemia which can lead to symptoms of tiredness and loss of breath which iron pills can help with.
