Step 1 – Tie hair into high pony
Brush your hair back off your face and form a ponytail standing upright in the air. Tie the end bit with a hairband and keep held into place in the air.
Step 2 – Roll ponytail under
Roll the newly formed ponytail under to form a bun. This should be done under the hair, not over.
Step 3 – Secure bun in place
Use clips to secure your bun into place. It should now sit firmly on your head.
Step 4 – Neaten the sides
Some of your hair may have fallen loose whilst perfecting the bun. Clips and hairspray will neaten the look up around the sides.
Step 5 – Neaten the top
Now it’s time to neaten the top bouffant .Using a pintail comb, gently comb down any stray hairs. Using the other end of the comb, tease the hair underneath to create more volume on top.
Step 6 – Soften the look
You can pull strands of hair at the front and sides forward to soften the look. When you are happy with the final look, spray with hairspray to hold into place.
