Look 1 – Swept Back Look
Step 1 – Add volume
Add some volume to your fringe using hairspray. Simply spray under the fringe and sweep back using your hands or a comb.
Step 2 - Hold in Place
Hold your fringe into place using hairspray. If you have a short fringe and you find it sticking up, use extra hairspray or gel to hold down.
Look 2 – Dutch Double Brain
Step 1 – Split your fringe
Part your fringe in the centre using a comb for accuracy. Next, clip one side back out of the way.
Step 2 – Begin Braiding
Pull your fringe back intertwining it into your lengthened hair. Next, take three sections of hair and begin braiding by taking the right side over the centre section and then the left. Repeat until your braid has been formed. Keep it close to your scalp to prevent the braid loosening.
Step 3 – Secure in place
Once you have braided the first side of your hair, hold into place using a thin hair tie.
Repeat this step on the other side and fix with hairspray to complete the look.
Look 3 – Braided Topknot
Step 1 – Begin your Braid
Sweep your fringe back over your head and section into 3. With these strands, begin braiding by taking the left side over the middle strand, then the right. Repeat to complete the braid along your crown.
Step 2 – Tie into Place
Once you have braided your crown tightly to your scalp, secure the end with a thin hair tie, leaving enough hair to at the end to form the bun.
Step 3 – Backcomb
Bring the remaining hair up and backcomb to create volume and thicken the bun.
Twist the hair around to form a bun and secure into place using clips. Those with thicker hair will need to use more clips to ensure the bun doesn’t fall out.
Step 4 – Tease the Bun
Tease your bun, stretching your bun to widen and create a more voluminous look.
Hold into place with hairspray and your look is complete!
Look 4 – Slick Back Hair Look
Step 1 – Slick your hair back
You can complete this look with wet or dry hair.
Start by spraying your hair wet and slicking your fringe back using your fingers.
Step 2 – Repeat with mousse
Repeat step 1 using mousse to secure into place and create the slick look.
Step 3 – Side Parting
Using a pintail comb, create a side parting on your preferred side of your head.
Brush through the mousse to complete the sleek look and hold into place with hairspray.
