Prep the hair with a volume mousse. Section off the front of the hair – a little way in front of the crown – and place each section in front of the ears, securing with a sectioning clip. You’ll come back to these sections later.
Create volume at the back of the hair with a backcomb brush, working in sections starting at the top of the hair and moving downwards. Make sure you backcomb down to the roots.
Smooth over the hair with your brush and gather into a side ponytail, securing with a hairband. Twist the pony from base to tail, then wrap it around the hairband to create a bun. Secure with grips.
Now, back to the front sections of your hair. Make a low side parting on the same side as your bun. Finger-wave both front sections with straighteners as follows: rotate by 90 degrees, straighten, stop and then rotate 90 degrees in the opposite direction. Continue until you get all the way to the end of the hair sections.
Secure the sections of freshly finger-waved hair into your bun with hair grips.
To complete the look, spray with a white hairspray to amp up the Scream Queen effect.
