Easy Halloween Makeup: Martian

Earthlings, this Halloween, we’re channelling all things alien with our Martian makeup look. So, prepare to put the extra in extra-terrestrial with everything from shimmery pink eyeshadow and bright berry blush to sparkly stars and glistening lip gloss.

Step 1: Prep to perfection

To start your alien makeup look, apply primer to your face and smooth it in using your fingers.

Step 2: Get the glow

Mix together a dewy foundation with a small amount of liquid highlighter for a glow that’ll rival any alien out there. Pat this into the skin using a beauty sponge or a foundation brush.

After, go in with concealer to touch up any areas that need a little more coverage – small concealer brushes work best for this.

Step 3: Up your brow game

For fuller and fluffier brows, start by brushing through them with a clear or tinted brow gel to define each hair. Once they’re set in shape, go in and lightly fill in any gaps using an eyebrow pencil.

Step 4: Blush o’clock

If there’s any look that calls for bright colours, it’s an alien makeup look. So, take your brightest berry shade blush and apply it to the cheeks using a flat, dense brush. Sweep it over the eyelid and all the way up to the temples for extra impact.

Step 5: Build up the colour

For easy application, take a sparkly pink eyeshadow stick and apply this above your eyelid crease to frame the eye. Then, take a rose gold eyeshadow stick and run this over your eyelid before blending with a fluffy brush.

To intensify the colour, choose a shimmery pink eyeshadow from your favourite palette and apply it above your crease. Then, take a shimmery white shade and place this in the inner corner and across the cheekbone for show-stopping shine.
