Do you have a Halloween party to go to but no time to shop around for a costume? The great news is that you can create your own unusual look by using only makeup and just a little bit of imagination.
For those who are not keen on creepy or scary Halloween costumes, we’ve prepared a cute and head-turning doll look. Simply follow our easy steps and get all dolled up.
Skin and Hair Prep
Part your hair in the center and make a ponytail on either side of your head. These can be low ponytails but if you are looking for added drama, go for high ones. Afterwards, simply braid and fasten them with a hair band in a shade close to your hair colour.
We can now prep your skin. Make sure you cleanse, tone and moisturise before you start putting on makeup.
Step 1 – Foundation
Apply foundation evenly to your face and neck using either a beauty sponge or a brush. Go for a foundation that is one or two shades lighter than your natural skin tone. Doing so will give your skin a porcelain doll like effect.
Step 2 – Eye Shadow
Go over your eye lid with a white or very light eye shadow. This will help brighten your eyes and make them look bigger.
Step 3 – Mascara
A porcelain doll has long full lashes, so opt for a lash lengthening mascara. Apply generously to intensify the look.
Step 4 – White Pencil
To make the eyes appear even bigger, use a white pencil to draw on your waterline.
Step 5 – False Lashes
If you are keen on a truly show-stopping Halloween doll look, long false eyelashes are a must. The more artificial they look, the better.
Step 6 – Lower Lashes
To finish off your eye makeup, add a single coat of mascara to your lower lashes.
Step 7 – Rosy Cheeks
We all know that dolls have cute rosy cheeks. Go for the pinkest blush shade you have and apply it to the apples of your cheeks in a circular motion. Don’t blend it too much – the blusher must look eye-grabbing.
Step 8 – Heart-shaped Lips
Using a lip liner pencil, don’t follow your natural lip shape and instead draw a heart shape on your lips and fill it in.
Step 9 – Freckles
To ramp up the child-like playfulness use a light brown eye pencil and draw freckles on your cheeks and nose.
Complete the Halloween Doll Look
To amplify the doll-like cuteness, you can add adorable little bows to your pigtails. Another idea is to spray your hair pastel pink and purple. Put on a cute smile – and your doll look is complete.
If you want your doll look more like a puppet, you can simply add two lines going down your chin from the corners of your lips using a brown pencil.
Enjoy this quick and easy sweet Halloween doll look. Happy Halloween!
