A cat eye cut crease look aims to define the eyelid crease by ‘cutting’ across it with a contrasting eyeshadow that uses very little blending.
This striking look can lift your eyes and make them look more open. The cat eye cut crease is also very versatile, choose between soft or dramatic depending on your mood or occasion.

Step 2: White Eyeshadow
Lightly dust white eyeshadow over your eyelid and brow bone.
Step 3: Use Sticky Tape as a Guide
To make sure that you get a sharp and accurate finish to your cut crease, use sticky tape as a guide. Once you’ve done this to one eye, repeat the process on the other side.
Step 4: Dark Brown Eyeshadow
Apply a dark brown eyeshadow to your eyelid to create the cut crease effect.
Step 5: Blend
Use a slightly larger brush to blend the two eyeshadows together.
Step 6: Layer and Blend
To emphasise the cateye cut crease add and blend another layer of dark brown eyeshadow.
Step 7: Add a Darker Shade
Next, use a smaller brush to go over the crease with a darker brown shade. Once the eyeshadow has been applied blend it together.
Step 8: Remove Sticky Tape
Once you’ve finished blending your eyeshadow gently remove the sticky tape.
Step 9: Clean & Conceal
Use either a wet or dry cotton bud to clean the edges of the cut crease. To neaten the crease apply concealer along the eyelid and cut crease.
Step 10: Shimmery Eyeshadow
To add a touch of sparkle to your look apply a shimmery eyeshadow to your brow bone and eyelid
Step 11: Apply More Sticky Tape
To help guide your eyeliner apply sticky tape parallel to your bottom lash line.
Step 12: Liquid Eyeliner
Use the sticky tape to guide the eyeliner, this will help to create a neat, straight line.
Step 13: Remove Sticky Tape Near the Eyes
Remove the tape that has just been applied.
Step 14: Apply Eyeshadow to the Lower Lashline
Use an eyeshadow brush to gently apply a medium brown shade eyeshadow to your lower lashline.
Step 15: Curl Your Eyelashes (Optional)
To give your eyes the wide awake look use an eyelash curler to gently curl your lashes. Clamp the eyelashs 2-3 times in the curler to get the best result.
Step 16: Mascara
To finish off your cateye cut crease apply a few coats of mascara.
