Step 1a – Apply eyeshadow
Using an eyeshadow crayon (this one is waterproof for added hold!), gently colour in eyelid area. Work your way from the lash line up until the brow bone. Blend it in with your fingertip as you go along so you have an even base.
Step 1b – Add colour to the eyelid crease
Now to make the eyes pop, take a blue powder eyeshadow and apply to the crease of the eyelid. Blend this as you go along with a brush and take it along your lash line and under the outer corners of the eye.
Step 2 – Add eyeliner for definition
Draw along the upper lash line in small strokes. Follow the curve of the eye, but don’t worry if it’s not perfect as the next step is to smudge this in.
Repeat on the other eye and also take the smudged line under the eye too, until you have a symmetrical look. Finish by applying the black eyeliner into your waterline and dusting a little highlighter under the brow bone.
Step 3 – Coat lashes with mascara
Amp up the drama by coating lashes with mascara, moving the wand from root to tip in a zig zag motion (for the best lash-lengthening results).
Coat the top and bottom lashes, until you have a defined look.
Step 4a – Create a flawless base
With your eyes ready to steal glances on the dancefloor, move on to prepping your skin. We’re starting with an even application of primer to ensure your look lasts all night long. Next apply liquid foundation all over the face, using a foundation brush to get into every crease.
Step 4b – Conceal & set
Use a concealer stick to smooth over any blemishes, dark circles, redness or pigmentation. Set your look with translucent powder – this will minimise dreaded shine spots that may emerge after an intense dancing session.
Step 5 – Fill in brows
Brush through brows using a spoolie brush, so the shape is set into place. Take an angled eyebrow brush and coat it in brow powder. Fill in any spare areas with the powder and brush through the outline to add definition.
Step 6 – Add a kiss of blush
To finish the look, apply a peach/pink blush to the apples of your cheeks. This will contrast beautifully against the blue eye look, but if peach is not your favourite shade then go for a golden shimmer.
Step 7 – Go for nude lips
To keep the focus on the eyes, we’ve gone for a nude lip. Simply use a matte nude lipgloss all over and outline the lips with a lip corrector for the perfect pout.
Step 8 – Set your look
Before you put your dancing heels on and shoot off out, finish with a quick spritz of setting spray for added hold.
