If you’re looking to get the glow back in your complexion, take a look at our step-by-step guide and video tutorial.
Achieve beautiful, glowing skin in just 5 simple steps!
Cleanse
Tone
Hydrate
Brighten Eyes
Moisture
Here's everything you need to know to get that glow!
Step 1: Cleanse
If you want to get the very best out of your skin, then your morning and evening routine must start with a cleanse. In the morning, cleansing your skin is not only a refreshing way to wake up, but it will rid your complexion of any sweat, excess oil, and dead skin cells which have built up overnight.
In the evening, split your cleanse into two steps. The first, use a cleansing oil or balm to lift away and remove any makeup you have been wearing and then go in with another gentle cleanser to clean the skin.
If you’re looking to achieve skin that glows, never skip out on your cleanse.
Step 2: Tone
Many people tend to overlook a toner in their skincare regime, but it plays an important role. Packed with skin-loving plant-based ingredients and essential oils a toner lifts off any remaining dirt that your cleanser may have left behind and leaves your skin prepared for additional products.
Toners come in all shapes and sizes, including formulas that soothe, hydrate, or even gently exfoliate the skin. If exfoliation is a primary step for you, look out for an acid toner, such as glycolic, salicylic, or lactic acid to slough away dead skin cells.
Step 3: Hydrate
Say it with us … hydrated skin is happy skin! Skin that is not hydrated can become dry, flaky, and feel tight. And as we age, our skin demands more moisture than ever as collagen production slows down, and we start to see fine lines and wrinkles appear. There are several ways you can add hydration into your skincare regime, without too much additional effort! Try starting your routine with a hydrating cleanser, add a facial spray or mist in between each step, and look out for products containing the holy grail of hydration - hyaluronic acid.
Step 4: Brighten Eyes
There are quite a few skin concerns that appear around the eyes, such as puffiness, dark circles, and the first signs of ageing as the skin there is much thinner and more delicate than any other area of the face. A good quality eye cream, and regular use, can help reduce common concerns and help brighten up the whole eye area! Many people wonder when they should start using an eye cream, and the answer is as soon as you can! Best results come from early prevention, so even if you are in your 20s, it’s a good idea to start incorporating a brightening eye cream in your routine.
Step 5: Moisturise
Finally, all skincare routines should end with moisturiser (unless you’re applying SPF, which then goes on last before makeup). Moisturisers are not all made the same, so it’s important you find a formula that works best for your skin. If dry skin is your concern, then look for a hydrating face cream. If you are fighting the signs of ageing, then look for a moisturiser containing ingredients such as retinoids and peptides. But for glowing skin, then the likes of vitamin C and niacinamide will be your best friend for a brighter, balanced complexion!
