Creep and crawl your way through your Halloween celebrations with our family-friendly Spiderweb makeup tutorial. Watch as Jess (@thefunnyfatone), Trevor (@dadliketrev) and their daughter Sophia get into the spooky-spirit in just a few simple steps!
Tap white face paint around the temple and edge of your face using a makeup sponge. Keep dabbing to build up the colour.
Repeat on the other side.
Step 3:
Continue with your smokey eye using the Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette. Blend the eye out using two contrasting brown tones. For an extra spooky look, apply some black eyeshadow and blend it in.
Step 4:
Now, you can start creating the spider web detail. Take the Maybelline Hyper Precise All Day Liner and map out, using dots, where you want to create your lines. Draw your lines over the top of your white face paint, starting at your hairline and drawing outwards. Join your lines up with small curved ones to create the appearance of a web.
You don’t have to stick to spiderwebs on the side of your face, you can also try them below the eyes too!
Step 5:
To add more dimension, apply small black and white dots throughout the spider web and finish the look with black lipstick or as Jess has done, use the Maybelline Superstay Ink Crayon.

For Big Male Spiders!
Step 1:
For the first step, create a smokey eye using the Maybelline Lasting Drama 24H Gel Mechanical Eyeliner. Draw along the lash line and smudge it out with a clean brush. Using the Maybelline The Nude Palette, smoke out the eye a little more, fill in your brows and contour. Build up the colour in the hollow of your cheeks for a look that is perfect for Halloween.
Step 2:
For a more ghostly look, choose a shade that is a few shades lighter than your skin tone and apply to your forehead, bridge of your nose and cheeks.
Step 3:
Next, you can move on to the spiderweb. Map it out first using a light coloured pencil to guide you. Once you have traced out your spiderweb, you can bring it to life using the Maybelline Hyper Precise All Day Liner in Matte Black. Begin the lines thicker at the bottom and graduate to thinner lines at the top. Connect your webbed lines using curved lines; start with closer lines at the bottom of your web and increase the space between them as you reach the top.
Once you are happy with your spider web, add some highlighted sections with a lighter pencil to create a 3D effect.
Step 4:
Just like Jess has drawn on Trevor, if you have space you can add a big, creepy spider coming out from the spiderweb!
