Styling Trick 1 – Sleekback Look
Step 1: Take a large section of your hair from the crown of your head and clip at the top of your head, away from your face.
Step 2: Take another section of your head, beneath the first section, and tie into a tight ponytail with a hairband.
Step 3: Revert back to the top section of your hair. Bring in front of your face and backcomb. You can go as wild with these as you want depending on how big you want your back-comb.
Step 4: Bring your backcomb hair back into place. If you’re happy with the height of your quiff then gently brush back to neaten up. Hold into place with hair clips.
Step 5: Fix the hairstyle into place with hairspray to last all day.
Step 6: To smooth out your hairstyle and ensure it looks extra sleek, use hair straighteners on the hanging hair.
Hair Styling Trick 2 – Beach Waves
Step 1: Spray dry shampoo on your hair to add some volume and texture. You can add further volume by ruffling your hair in your hands.
Step 2: Brush through your hair to remove any knots. This will make it easier to separate and curl.
Step 3: Next, take the top section of your hair and clip it on the top of your head, out of your way.
Step 4: With the hair that is loose, take a small section and curl inwards. The thicker you want the curls, the larger the section of your hair should be.
Step 5: For the next section of hair, curl outwards. This will add further texture.
TIP: By not curling the ends of your hair you create more of a “wave” look, rather than a “curl”. This also prevents your ends from drying.
Step 6: Next, release the top section of your hair from the clip and repeat the above steps.
Step 7: Run your hands through your hair to de-tangle and ruffle up to accentuate the waves.
