Matte foundation
Matte setting powder
2 shimmery eye shadow shades
Eye brow pencil
Liquid eye liner
Mascara
Berry or plum lipstick
Before You Start Your Evening Makeup
If you are starting on this look with a bare face:
Apply moisturiser, primer, foundation and gently add definition to your eye brows with an eye brow pencil.
If you are topping up your look:
This tutorial is perfect for when you simply want to run out of your home or office only having to top up your make up. Simply use blotting paper or tissue to take away the excess oil before you start.
Steps to Achieve This Easy Evening Makeup Look
Step 1: Light Eye Shadow
Apply the lighter eye shadow shade to the inner corners of your eyes. Continue across your lid underneath the crease.
Step 2: More Eyeshadow
Go over the crease and outer corner using the other eye shadow shimmer.
Step 3 - Liquid Liner
Using a liquid eye liner, gently line the upper lash line.
Step 4 - Lipstick
Apply berry or plum lipstick. Deep reds and purples will also work. To make the colour look really intense, dab the lipstick when applying.
Step 5 - Setting Powder
Apply matte setting powder with a wide, loose brush.
Step 6: Optional – Accessorise
Finish the look off with a sparkling hair accessory
Removing Shimmer or Glitter Eye Shadows
While eye shadow with shimmer or glitter looks amazing, it sometimes may be hard to come off. Using a cotton pad and eye makeup remover, gently cleanse your eyes. Repeat a few times, if necessary. Afterwards, wash your face with a facial cleanser and follow with toner and moisturiser.
