And just like that, the topic of flu and winter sniffles has come back around again! If you, like many others, want to keep on top of your health and wellness this winter, check out our Superdrug Health Services and essential ‘sick day’ items available in-store and online.
Book Your Flu Vaccination
Help keep yourself and others around you protected this winter with the Superdrug Flu Vaccination Service. The Flu Vaccination, which protects you against four of the most common strains of flu and should be readministered every year, is available any time during flu season (that’s September to March, for those not in the know!) It is recommended that you have your flu vaccination as soon as you can in the season to be protected for as long as possible.
Free NHS Flu Service*
At many of our Superdrug Pharmacies, we offer a Free Flu Vaccination Service through our amazing NHS to those in certain risk groups. You may be eligible for a Free Flu Vaccination if you:
Are over 50
Have heart or lung problems, including asthma
Have diabetes, chronic kidney or liver conditions
Have been diagnosed with long term neurological conditions, including having had a stroke
Have a BMI of over 40
Are immunosuppressed or look after someone who has immunosuppression
This isn’t a definitive list, so please speak to your pharmacist or GP for the full list of those eligible for the Free NHS Flu Vaccination. If you are not eligible, you can of course still use the service at one of our pharmacies. Pop in to speak to one of our in-store teams about prices or visit our Private Flu Vaccination page to book an appointment.
*This may be subject to change alongside updates to NHS guidelines.
