What is it about?
At Superdrug we love that everyone is unique. We respect and appreciate what makes us different and how important it is to belong. We are committed to being a truly inclusive workplace. Where diversity is embraced, success is celebrated, communities come together, and innovation is encouraged. We want our people to reach their potential no matter who they are. We are always learning and listening. Our employee networks ensure everyone has a voice and help inform and guide us to be better every day.
"I am passionate that here at Superdrug we are welcoming to all. Everyone Matters, our Inclusion and Diversity strategy, helps make our workplaces inclusive for everyone working with us now, and in the future. It’s also about our customers, as the more we learn and understand, the better we can serve our diverse customer base. I am incredibly proud of Everyone Matters, our employee networks, and everyone that strives to make our workplaces more inclusive. In fact, it is so important it is now a key part of our business strategy. I hope you are as delighted as I am of what and what more there is to come".
-Peter Macnab- CEO Health & Beauty UK.Employee Networks
As a key part of our business, Everyone Matters has 6 focuses: Age, Social Mobility, (Access All Areas), Disability, Gender Equality, LGBTQ+, and Race & Ethnicity (Harmony). We have Employee Networks to create safe spaces for communities and members to discuss issues, share experiences, and provide support, and an Everyone Matters Steering Group. This includes Peter Macnab (UK H&B CEO), our Network Leads and Exec Sponsors. We want our employees have a voice, shape our culture, and support us on our journey to creating a truly inclusive workplace where you can be you.
You can find out more below. Leaders and recruitment teams have attended Inclusive Leadership training, and regularly attend upskilling sessions. Inclusion is part of every new employee’s induction with us, and part of our development programmes. All employees have access to learning resources, webinars, and workshops on a range of inclusion subjects. We are extremely proud to have ranked as a Financial Times Leader in Diversity for three years in a row. We know this is a journey that will never be completed. We will always be adapting to ensure our workplaces are as inclusive as they can be.
