Energy Management

We have been on an energy reduction journey since 2010, in that time we have reduced our total energy (electricity and gas) consumption across UK stores, offices and distribution centres by 56%.

Some of the key activities which have helped up to reduce our energy consumption include rolling out smart meters to our store, meaning we are able to receive accurate data and identify and target stores where energy was being used unnecessarily. Energy efficiency is also a part of our new store design, for example since 2017, Superdrug has moved to fitting LED lighting installation in new stores and refits.
