silicol®gel, presented in two sizes, 200 ml + 500 ml, is a colloidal or highly dispersible aqueous solution of silicic acid taken orally. Silicol®gel treats gastrointestinal disorders such as heartburn, reflux, flatulence, stomach ache and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Reduces excess acidity. Binds and adsorbs toxins, bacteria and irritants which are then safely and naturally removed. Coats the lining of the digestive tract and protects the intestine wall. A single tablespoonful taken three times a day has been clinically shown to normalise the function of the stomach and bowel quickly and without side effects. silicol®gel is a certified Medical Device (Class II a) conforming to EU directive 93/42/EEC, and is produced in Germany by Saguna GmbH, D-33719 Bielefeld.

Containing Silicic Acid, a compound of Silicon & Oxygen, silicol®gel is a hydrated liquid gel that can be easily taken as an oral dose which then acts rapidly in the gastrointestinal tract. The therapeutic action of silicol®gel is due to the large and reactive surface of colloidal silicic acid and its ability as an adsorbent to cover the lining (mucous) of the stomach and intestine; bind toxins, irritants, cell residues and excess acidity, and carry them safely and naturally out of the body, thereby protecting the lining of the stomach and intestine to maintain digestive comfort. silicol®gel acts as a “magnet” physically adsorbing/binding irritants, harmful toxins & pathogens, rendering them harmless.
