BasicLab Corrective serum with Retinal 0.15% 30ml
Product Information
This corrective serum with 0.15% retinal, 2% growth factors, phytosphingosine, and Carnosine 2.0 firms, rejuvenates, and reduces wrinkles and acne. It improves skin elasticity, reduces redness, and brightens the complexion, offering anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Features
- Retinal is the last compound in the conversion to retinoic acid (which cannot be used in cosmetic products). It is distinguished by its antibacterial properties, so it will be helpful in the care of acne-prone skin, and due to its low irritating potential, it can be used without fear in the care of skin affected by rosacea. The ingredient effectively fights hyperpigmentation, has an anti-ageing effect, reduces wrinkles, as well as improves skin elasticity and firmness. - Vitamin C in the form of 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, present in the antioxidant regenerating serum Brighten and Calm, has an anti-inflammatory effect and reduces redness, thus minimising the side effects of the treatment, while brightening the complexion and positively affecting its overall appearance. - 2% natural growth factor complex (INCI: Nicotiana Benthamiana Hexapeptide-40 sh-Polypeptide-76) acts synergistically with vitamin A derivatives due to its participation in the same metabolic pathway leading to collagen synthesis. It enhances the effects of retinal, so we can expect even more stimulation of the skin. - Vitamin E (INCI: Tocopherol) together with Coenzyme Q10 (INCI: Ubiquinone), a duo of powerful antioxidants, fight free radicals, soothe the skin and slow down the aging process. - Ceramides NP and AP, as the so-called intercellular cement, support skin renewal, accelerating its regeneration processes. - Carnosine 2.0, is resistant to degradation and is therefore much more effective than L-carnosine. The ingredient restores skin tone, prevents the effects of photo-ageing, lightens brown discolourations (PIH - Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation), but also generally improves skin tone. - Phytosphingosine, a free sphingoid amine found in the skin, is a natural anti-inflammatory agent, improves the appearance of acne-prone skin, reduces redness and irritation. - Phospholipids, the carriers of retinal, stabilise it and reduce the risk of irritation.
Warning or Restrictions
- SHOULD NOT be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women as retinal penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin.

Product Uses
For daytime, we absolutely apply high SPF50+ sun protection and avoid sun exposure. Please also note that during retinal treatment your skin needs to be moisturised and regenerated. You should always start using retinal at a lower concentration, i.e. 0.07%, both when you start treatment for the first time and when you resume it after a longer break. Retinal should be applied gradually, every 4-5 evenings for the first 2 weeks. Over time, the interval between applications is reduced by 1 day. Apply the serum once a day, only in the evening care, on clean and dry skin, avoiding the eye area. At the beginning of the introduction of retinal to skin care, we apply it alone to observe the skin's reaction. Ultimately, about 30-40 minutes after applying retinal, you can apply a moisturising and regenerating product, such as a serum with ceramides and/or a lipid cream for winter. In the first weeks of using retinal, redness, dryness or irritation of the skin as well as scaling may be observed - this is a result of building up of skin tolerance to this active substance. We switch to higher concentration of retinol at the earliest when skin tolerates well the use of lower concentration at least 4-5 times a week. Higher concentrations are also introduced while building up skin tolerance - first every 4 days, gradually increasing the frequency. The use of retinal all year round is acceptable, but before any planned increased sun exposure, it should be discontinued completely about 4 weeks beforehand.
