How to take Loratadine
Loratadine works to reduce inflammation in the throat and nasal passage helping you to breathe more clearly and also works to reduce other common allergy symptoms. It is a slow releasing antihistamine so it can take up to 3 hours to start working, so it’s best to be taken as a preventative hayfever relief method as oppose to a reactive measure once you have already started suffering from symptoms. Loratadine may cause drowsiness.
1. Take one 10mg loratadine tablet once a day and try to take this at the same time each day, either in the morning OR in the evening.
2. You can take loratadine with or without food.
3. Swallow the tablet whole, with a glass of water.
4. It is not harmful if you miss your loratadine dose.
Cetirizine is another common hay fever tablet which works differently to Loratadine.
